While i do not regularly play Warhammer Underworlds, the warband sets are so good for dungeon and fantasy games i own. Of all the main box sets i have seen, it is Gnarlwood that looks the best one in terms of its models and setting theme. The overall dark forest setting looks great, and the mix of skeletons and the darkroath spirit clan offer some great modelling. So this became another painting set for use within Cursed City and other quest games.
The Sons of Velmorn are my favourite undead warband, an excellent model set with some great characters, which will take their place in Cursed City as the wight king and his grave guards. I painted using the published colours as the blue and browns look great together.
The Gnarlspirit Pack are Darkoath warriors who are marked by animalistic spirits. Whilst these do not directly have a Cursed City role, they are useful models to represent barbarian type characters in dungeon crawl games, and they look great.
What a lovely Warhammer set, i will remain on the lookout for other warbands that fit Cursed City.
