This deck building game can now be played solo against Chimera expansion enemies. These are some thoughts of playing with heroes using their standard build decks against them.
Coal Roarkwin is a core box hero, a pretty standard fighting deck with men of iron allies who are essential to get into play against the Chimera to survive. His allies provide a good mix of support styles, and his Iron Rhino conjuration is a beast to get out, but a high damage dealer when in play. Coal does not exhaust to trigger his ability, which can keep damage going when you are out of dice, and has ways to retaliate and cover for his allies too, however he is not overly high on health, so he has to be used wisely. I enjoyed playing him, and found him fine to play on low difficulty levels, but struggled when the Chimera ramps up his threats or higher health.
